Christian Brighty

Christian Brighty is an award-winning comedian, actor and writer. His show PLAYBOY was one of the best-reviewed shows of the Edinburgh Fringe 2022, and sold out runs at the Pleasance Courtyard and Soho Theatre. The show was nominated for the Amused Moose Best Show award as well as Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival.

In 2021, his TikTok sketches based on Bridgerton, Poldark and Jane Austen catapulted him to viral stardom, racking up a combined 100 million views. These sketches have been featured on Buzzfeed, BBC Online, and even broadcast on American TV Network MSNBC gaining him 440,000 followers and quickly securing his place as the internet’s answer to Mr Darcy.

As part of sketch group Privates, alongside Amy Greaves, Luke Rollason and Tom Penn, he won the 2019 Otherwise Award for PRIVATES: A SPERM ODYSSEY, enjoying sell out runs at the fringe and Soho Theatre. His children’s physical comedy show BLUE PLANET III, created with Rollason, was nominated for the ONCA Sustainability Award in 2019 and toured across the UK and Ireland.

He trained at French theatre schools Ecole Philippe Gaulier and Ecole Jacques Lecoq.
